Guadalupe: A Holy Tour Upon the Mountains
Guadalupe, Spain, in the province of Caceres, is one of the most notable historic and religious towns in the country. With over just 2000 residents, the town has been a popular pilgrim site and not just for its monastery, but also its tranquility. It sits at the banks of the Guadalupe River and is also nestled in the mountain range called Sierra de las Villuercas. So the town is very much a natural beauty to boot as well.
Best Time to Visit
It is between May and September when there is great weather over at Guadalupe. However, these are also the months when there are a lot of tourists and pilgrims flocking over to the town. If you wish to avoid the hassle of a huge crowd, October is a good month to explore the town. Aside from cheaper Guadalupe ES hotels, you can also partake in the Guadalupe Hispanic Festival that takes place during that month.
