Førde Airport, Bringeland is a public airport located in Bringelandsåsen, Norway. It is operated and owned by Avinor and serves the Førde, Norway area. As of 2014, the airport was able to handle 82,356 passengers and a total of 8,109 aircraft movements.
Best Time to Visit
FDE Airport first started in 1956 when its construction began. In 1974, Bringelandsåsen was proposed as the new location for an airport, to replace the Øyrane and replaced with Bringeland. Today, the airport has one runway measuring 3,638 feet and has an asphalt surface. There is a small conference center in the terminal. There is also a hangar, helipad, administration buildings, and paid parking available. Widerøe currently operates passenger service from the airport to destinations such as Bergen, Oslo, and Sandane. Aside from Forde, Bruland also benefits from the presence of the airport and the passenger services it offers.
