Diqing Shangri-La Airport – DIG Shangri-La
A public airport serving the city of Gyalthang in the province of Yunnan in China is the Diqing Shangri-La Airport. It is situated in the southwest suburbs of the Yunnan province. Diqing Shangri-La Airport (DIG)was first constructed in 1997 and was opened to commercial service in April 1999. The airport is operated by the Yunnan Airport Group and has five airlines operating scheduled flights to some domestic destinations. In 2015, a total of 503,800 passengers were served by the airport.

Diqing Shangri-La Airport is composed of a single 11,647 feet runway that has an asphalt runway. Its terminal building is divided into two passenger terminals. Terminal 2 has the VIP Lounges, transfer area, and ATMs. Some restaurants and shopping centers are also located in the second terminal. DIG is the airport of choice for passengers going in and out of Shangri-La and Deqen.
