Best Time to Visit
The CZW - Częstochowa-Rudniki Airport was largely used for military purposes since its inception: it was built as a field combat airport that saw to the training of some units of the Nazi Germany air force, including air glider training. Starting from 1950, after the Second World War, the ownership of the Częstochowa-Rudniki Airport belonged to the Aero Club of Częstochowa, but continued to be used for military purposes since pilots did not appear in the airport until 1957. The local government has expressed its plans to further develop the airport. In 1983, for some reason during the summer, an air service operated by LOT Polish Airlines became available. This airport is nearby the town of Lubliniec, which is surrounded by the Upper Liswarta Forests Landscape Park.
