Coffeyville: Exploring Historical Landmarks and Electronic Gaming
Located in the southeastern region of the Montgomery County, Coffeyville is a settlement founded by Colonel James A. Coffey, from whom the name of the city is derived. Coffeyville, KS made it the pages of history books by being the location where the Dalton Gang was wiped out back in November 16, 1892. This notorious gang back in the old days tried to do a daylight robbery in two banks in the region at the same time. Unfortunately, this also happened to be the last hurrah of the group. Coffeyville was the very first home of the fulfillment center of Amazon.com from 1999 up until 2015.
