See the unique architecture featured at the San Juan de Corias Monastery. It is a former Benedictine monastery near the Narcea River and is now known as the Asturian Escorial. Here lies the remains of King Bermudo I of Asturias together with his family. Nature trips would be ideal at the Muniellos Nature Reserve. It is a protected woodland area where several species of the oak tree can be found. It is one of the best-preserved forests in Spain.
