Banja Luka International Airport is a public airport under the management of Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation. BNX Airport serves the areas of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Srpska. It is located in the Mahovljani region of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the second largest airport in the country and within 11 miles from the railway station. The airport opened for civilian air traffic in November 1997 and served as the main hub of Air Srpska.

BNX - Banja Intl. Airport is 120 meters above sea level and features a single asphalt/concrete runway 2,500 meters in length. There are currently four airlines operating in the terminal - Air Serbia, Lauda, Ryanair and Aviolet. Seasonal charter flights to Antalya and Athens are served by Aviolet Airlines. Banja Luka International Airport started slow but grew steadily in terms of passenger traffic. It had a total of 4,798 passengers during its conception in 2010 and has increased to 98,084 this 2019, a 543.6% increase from 2018's 36,180 passenger traffic.
