Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin, Ireland
Being one of the country's biggest shopping destinations, the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is a two-story mall in the city of Dublin with over 1.3 million square feet of retail floor area and roughly 180 stores. It was opened in mid-October 1996 and was expanded in 2004. The shopping facility is easily accessible by car or bus, as it features a parking space with a capacity of 7000 vehicles and more than 600 bus movements daily. Apart from its numerous clothing brands and dining options, the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre also features a nine-screen camera and the biggest TJ Maxx store in Ireland.
Also located within Dublin is the Anna Livia Millennium Fountain, a bronze monument sitting in the Croppies Memorial Park. It was initially placed on O'Connell Street and was a masterpiece of the Irish sculptor Éamonn O'Doherty. Within a 22-minute walk from the Croppies Memorial Park is the Chester Beatty Library and Gallery of Oriental Art. Founded in 1950, the library and museum house a massive collection of mining magnate, including prints, manuscripts, and miniature paintings. There are also temporary exhibitions hosted in the facility.
