Benaulim: The Village of Arrow in India
Located in Goa, India, which is a census town, Benaulim was formerly a part of a land association called Cominidades of Goa in the Portugese Regime. It is home for Contemporary Benaulim, which is a famous resort, situated at the district of South Goa. It was formerly known as Banahalli or Banawali that means “village of arrow” before the Portuguese came. Benaulim was home to the temple of Katyayani Baneshvar, which was dedicated to the Hindu deities Parvati and Shiva.
