Beira, Mozambique is the second-largest city in the country. It is next to Maputo. The town was once known as an important port area. It was dubbed as the heart of Mozambique. This is due to the fact that is situated halfway in the coastline of the province of Sofala. Geographically, it is in the heart of Pungoe River. The city is also situated at the end of the old pipeline and it is also at the end of the railway. It’s about 600 miles from Harare and 1800 miles from Johannesburg. Beira International Airport (BEW) is about 20 minutes away.
