Bazhong: Witness China’s Elegant Peaks
Bazi, Ba County, Hanchang County, Baxi County, Liang County, and Yi County – these have all been names of what is now Bazhong, China. Its present name literally translates to “center of Ba.” In 1993, Bazhong became a prefecture-level city. Visitors can access the city through the Bazhong Enyang Airport (BZX), a domestic airport about an hour away from the city center.

Bazhong, CN has a prevalent subtropical monsoon climate. Summers in the city, although can be hot and humid, also experience heavy rainfall. Winters are foggy but snow rarely falls. Tourists often visit during fall to watch the leaves changing colors as the city is surrounded by a gorgeous, lush environment. It is ideal to visit during spring when it is warm although there might also be an influx of tourists. Bazhong, China hotels tend to be cheaper during winter.

The strategic location of Bazhong at the foot of the Daba Mountain Range has given it flourishing natural parks and sceneries atop of the mountains as tourist destinations. Seventeen minutes away from the downtown you will find Nankan Scenic Area. It has a park and is famous for the Buddha grottoes located inside it. If you want to go a little further away, a two-hour drive to Guangwu Mountain and Nuoshui River wherein you will find caves, waterfalls, and hiking trails, will surely awaken your adventurous side. Also don’t miss the Suining Temple and Statues if you are into it. Bazhong, CN hotels are easily accessible from the city center.
