Batalha, Portugal is a town located in Leira District in the Centro Region of the country. Batlha, PT was named from the literal meaning “battle” as a commemoration of the victory of Battle of Aljubarrota. The town was founded by the King Jao I of Portugal together with the f Santa Maria da Vitória na Batalha Monastery.
