Aus is a city in Namibia that belongs to the IIKaras Region. It was only a village in 1925, but years later, it was promoted into a municipality (1949). The city’s name, Aus, is a Khoekhoe word, which means a big snake. The west side of the town is known for its feral horses, a type of horses, which has learned to cope up with the desert climate.
