Agatti International Airport - AGX
Located at the southern end region of the Agatti Island, India, Agatti International Airport is one of the public airports that serve the areas of Lakshadweek and its nearby regions. It is operated by the Airports Authority of India and was constructed back in the late 1980s. It is the only airport available in the archipelago and located in the western coasts of the mainland of the country. Year 2006 came and welcomed a new terminal building, structures and an ATC Tower for the airport.
Best Time to Visit
AGX Airport covers an area of 18.56 hectares. It currently has a single asphalt runway that is 1,204 meters long. The terminal building has a current capacity of 50 passengers during peak hours. Extensions were implemented to the airport back in 2013 after the AAI received its environmental clearance to extend its present runway 1,500 meters long over the section of the sea. Agatti Island itself offers a great place to enjoy the beach or try out scuba diving. You'll need a ferry to be able to access the island.

AGX Airport hotels are not yet available inside the terminal. However, there are a few relaxing accommodations you can access near the airport.
