Asaba International Airport – ABB
Asaba International Airport, operated by the Delta State government, is a public-use airport handling the passenger traffic from the city of Asaba, Nigeria, the capital of the state of Delta. The airfield also accommodates the majority of travelers coming in and out of Onitsha, which is across the river of Niger. Asaba International Airport goes by the IATA code of ABB and ICAO code of DNAS.
Best Time to Visit
The international airport was officially opened in 2013, but since then, it has suffered significant deterioration over the years, requiring substantial restoration in the runway. Its current operational airstrip numbered 11/29, is asphalt-paved and runs to 3,400 meters. You can fly into Asaba via four airlines gracing Asaba International Airport, namely Aero Contractors, Air Peace, Arik Air, and Overland Airways. However, they only provide flights to and from Lagos and Abuja. Nonetheless, tourists will find several sites to see and things to do in the city of Asaba.
