Regina International Airport serves flights and passengers going to and from Regina, Canada. It is situated 2.2 miles southwest of the city center of Regina, Saskatchewan. It is one of the busiest airports in Saskatchewan, in second place to its other airport, Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker. It was in the year 1928 that the site was developed but the terminal was only built during the 1940s. A new terminal was developed by 1960, after World War II and was renovated during the 80s. In 2004, a 24-million expansion took place to make way to a targeted 1.2 million passengers yearly.
