A lot of festivals happen year-round in Liaoning Province, which Yingkou is a part of. Every September, the Shenyang International Tourism Festival for the Exhibition of Qing Cultures is held. Basically, it started in 1998 with a tourism week that celebrates the Qing Dynasty. Today, it is a grand celebration of economic and trade exchange, academic and cultural communications, and of course, the booming tourism industry. During the festival, visitors may enjoy activities such as the Great Parade for the royal etiquette, Saman mid-autumn festival ceremonial dances, among others.
