Situated in the heart of Seattle, Washington, the Washington State Convention Center is a convention center that consists of several meeting rooms and exhibition halls in buildings along Pike Street. It was planned in the late 1970's and was constructed in 1985, and then it was opened to the public on June 18, 1988. The convention center is six stories tall and has 38,529 square meters of space to be rented. Washington State Convention Center’s primary public space is a four-story atrium lined with shops, restaurants, and artworks. It is also served by several transit routes in the surface streets. Some popular annual events held in the center are Comic-Con and Penny Arcade Expo.
