Wandlitz: Brandenburg’s Natural Wonder
Wandlitz, Germany is a municipality in Brandenburg first documented in 1242. It was established in 2004. It is the result of the merger of Zerpenschleuse, Wandlitz, Stolzenhagen, Schonwalde, Schonerlinde, Prenden, Lanke, Klosterfelde, and Basdorf.

The best time to visit Wandlitz is during the months of May through September, for the perfect weather. The busiest months are usually May, July, and August. Tourists are least likely to visit in December.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the most well-known attractions in the area is Barnim Nature Park. Founded in 1998, more than half of it is forested. A great portion of the site is used for agricultural purposes. Tourists should also visit Barnim Panorama. Founded in 2013, it is the result of the merger of Agramuseum Wandlitz and Barnim Nature Park visitor center. It is home to the biggest agricultural collection in the state. It has six themed areas that illustrate 200 years of local agricultural history. A portion of the remaining space is reserved for special exhibits. One of its most prominent features is a panoramic window, which offers a view of the Wandlitzer See. This is where its name was derived. Another interesting site to visit in the municipality is Bogensee. It is a small, oval-shaped lake renowned for the summer retreat of Joseph Goebbels, a Nazi minister, in the area.
