Tejeda: Home of Almond Trees
Tejeda, Spain is a village located in Grand Canary. Among other villages in town, it is one of the largest. The most famous landmark is Cruz de Tejeda which is a cross made from stone and sits on the mountain pass. It officially marks the center of the Canary Islands. Visiting Tejada will not be complete without passing by the attractions. There numerous restaurants, shops, and bars to keep tourists busy. Geographically, it is resting on the slope of a crater and surrounded by fields and orchards. The town is thriving on tourism because farming is not enough in the area.

Because Tejada is the home of almond trees, it is hosting the annual Almond Blossom Festival. The best time to go to Tejeda and Canary Island is between March to May and September to November. Tejeda, Spain hotels are busy during winter and summer. It can be more expensive during this time of year.
