Stage Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was originally called “Mummers Theater”. As a theater, it was designed by John Johansen and was inaugurated in 1970. It did not have good reception among locals, leading to various tenants having to rent the space in the following years. It was finally demolished in 2014. 

There are a lot of fun things to do in the area, such as visiting Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art It is considered as one of the finest university museums in the country, featuring collections on French Impressionism; and of 20th-century American painting and sculpture, Asian art, contemporary and traditional Native American art, among others. Another interesting site to visit in the area is Gaylord-Pickens Museum. It houses the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, as well as some interactive exhibits depicting the state’s history. Tourists should also visit Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art in Shawnee. It has a collection of more than 3,500 artworks, representing various cultures from all over the world.
