Sondrio, Italy is an enticing town in the middle of the Valtellina region. It has a view of the Rhaetian Alps and was awarded Alpine Town of the Year in 2007. As an Alpine town, it is undoubtedly cold throughout the year over at Sondrio. However, there is a short period in which you can feel the warmth of the sun and if you are not a fan of snow, this short period would be the ideal time to book your trip. This is between July and August. You can also come around May to June or September as these have favorable weather too. Worry not about high tourist turnout as most come during the winter season.
