San Francisco International Airport – SFO
Owned and operated by the county and city of San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport is a public airport serving the San Francisco Bay Area. It can be found 13 miles from the downtown area of San Francisco, California, near the towns of Millbrae and San Bruno. SFO is considered the biggest among the airports in the Bay Area and the second busiest in the state next to Los Angeles International Airport. On top of that, it is also the seventh biggest airport in the United States and the 24th in the world in terms of passenger traffic.

SFO-San Francisco International Airport is a primary gateway for flights to various destinations in Asia and Europe but also include routes throughout North America. Among the first scheduled carriers at the airport are the Century Pacific Lines, Western Air Express, and Maddux Air Lines. Shortly after, the United Airlines became the primary carrier of SFO and now uses the airport as a central hub, alongside Alaska Airlines. There are four asphalt runways, four terminals, and seven concourses in the airport today. The oldest of the terminal buildings date back to 1954 before another terminal was added in 1963. From SFO, go sightseeing at the nearby towns of San Bruno, Moss Beach, and Brisbane.
