About Lux Hotels Serra
Lux Hotels is a Mauritius-based hotel operator and an affiliate member of the largest conglomerate in the country known as GML. The company was originally founded in 1985 as Naiade Resorts by a group of Mauritian investors. It was rebranded to Lux Hotels in 2011 with a new chief executive officer on board named Paul Jones. He has established a reputation in the hotel industry with the One&Only brand.
Majority of its properties are beachfront hotels, including the five-star Lux Grand Gaube in the North, Lux Le Morne of the West Coast and Lux Belle Mare on the East Coast. It also manages Lux Maldives, Lux Ile de la Reunion and Lux Tea Horse Road Lijiang in China. Other hotels it runs include Le Recif in Reunion Island, Tamassa in Bel Ombre and Mauritius’ largest seaside village known as the Merville Beach. The group also operates Ile des Deux Cocos, a private island situated near the Blue Bay Marine Park.
Lux Hotels intends to expand further in China with more boutique hotels as well as in the Middle East. It plans to open Lux Al Zorah in the United Arab Emirates.
In 2015, the group opened its first coffee shop in the country featuring its own organic Island Blend.
