The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is one of the three airports that service Savannah, Georgia and the nearby Low Country of South Carolina. Owned and operated by the Savannah Airport Commission, the airfield, which serves both commercial and military flights, wasinitially named Savannah Municipal Airport. It was later named Hunter Field, Chatham Field and Travis Field before it came to be known as the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in 2003. In 2018 alone, SAV-Georgia served almost 2.8 million passengers.
