Rundu: Exploring Wildlife and Ethnic Groups
Rundu is the capital town of the region of Kavango-East, Namibia, which is known for its old houses in the Katutura area. This town has a magnificent open market and military base of the Namibian Defence Force. The means for transportation of most tourists is via Rundu Airport (NDU), which is approximately 3 miles from the center of the town. Rundu is popular for its wildlife viewing, and this has to be done with a low chance of raining. The best months to visit Rundu is from July to October when the weather is pleasant and just above 20°C. The biggest festival, however, is scheduled every April called The Ngandu Music and Arts Festival, where Rundu residents got the chance to promote their products, foods, and talents.

Another nature tripping is sunset viewing at the Kaisosi River Lodge, a hotel with a breathtaking view. A sunset boat cruise takes the guests to chase the sunset. This lodge also serves western food options.
