Raiatea Airport, also locally known as Uturoa Airport,is set in Uturoa in French Polynesia, one of France’s exclusive central regions and territory. It was one of the 42 airports in France that were instated in 1962 and started operations in the same year. Many people to travel to the nearby island of Taha’a used the airport. Raiatea Airport has catered more than 220,000 passengersin 2006, which travels to the place to enjoy a relaxing vacation and some picturesque sceneries. The only airline that operates in the airport and handles flights to other domestic destinations is Air Tahiti.
Best Time to Visit
Raiatea Airport is only a simple small-sized airport with a small parking space on its front. It has the usual traditional design and has a drop-off point. The airport has a jungle behind it. A few restaurants and bars are available at the airport. It also has a children’s area. Some passengers in the cities of Bora Bora, Mai Moanaand Point Matira use RFP Raiatea to have access to other nearby islands in the area.
