Portland International Jetport – PWM Portland
Two miles west of downtown Portland, the public airport Portland International Jetport is located. PWM Portland covers 293 hectares of land, which the Jetport’s main runway is in the neighboring city of South Portland. Being the busiest airport in its state, Portland International Jetport served more than 2 million passengers in 2018, breaking its 1.86 million record in 2017. Portland’s increased popularity in tourist destinations and its low-cots carriers has benefited PWM Portland and made it the most affordable airport in the region, and third in line in New England.
Best Time to Visit
Portland International Jetport has the wood glass design, which will give you the local Maine vibe with the modern twist. It has a single terminal with ten gates and two runways. It has seven airlines that provide direct flights to the Eastern US and Canada. The airport provides multiple ground lots such as two parking garage. PWM Portland has some restaurants to choose from and also has some fast food restaurants in addition if you are out of time, such as Starbucks and Burger King. Some cities, which are around the airport, are Scarborough and Long Island.
