About Worldwide Hotels Pte Ltd. Pulai
Worldwide Hotels Pte Ltd. is a newly formed corporation built in 1993 by Group Chairman Choo Chong Ngen. It hosts six Singapore-made hotel brands which are now a total of 10% of Singapore’s hotel room inventory. The brands under the company - Hotel 81, Venue Hotel, V hotel, Hotel Boss, and Hotel Mi - make a total of 6,500 rooms in Singapore. In total, the Singapore Tourism Board’s count of hotel rooms as of 2018 is 67,084 in 420 hotels. Worldwide Hotels is deemed a new hotel corporation although its fast growth has clearly brought the brand in the Singaporean hotel industry’s attention.
As of 2018, the brand has 38 properties in Singapore and is planning to extend operations in Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia. The constructions for these locations are already in the works but it is notable that Worldwide Hotels will always remain a Singaporean brand.
The international expansion of the brand is also the mark of the company’s 25th year in the industry. Managing Director Carolyn Choo says “Worldwide Hotels strives to be a significant player in the global hospitality scene.” The company is planning to acquire 20 hotels and more than 5,000 rooms before 2023 which would be the 30th anniversary of the management. The Worldwide Hotels is aiming for Asia Pacific’s prime locations following their Singaporean operations model.
