New Paros Airport – PAS Paros
Locally called as Panteleou Paros Airport, Paros National Airport serves the island of Paros, Greece. The airport is otherwise known as New Paros Airport replacing the old Paros airport in 2016. Paros Airport is currently situated at the southwestern part of Paros Island. The airport has a scheduled flight operation to Athens every day and seasonal charter flights, especially during summer. During this time, the airport sometimes receives international aircraft. Summer is often a popular season among tourists as they visit Greece for vacation or quick holidays.
Best Time to Visit
Prior to the replacement of the old airport, it was established in 1982. During this time, the airport's short runway of 710 meters was enough to accommodate small to medium-size aircraft. As the number of passengers increased, the island of Paros needs to have a bigger space to serve larger aircraft. In 2016, a new airport was established, with bigger runways and upgraded facilities and services. The new airport took the overall flight operations of the old airport. Upon arrival, travelers can make use of the available transportation that will take them to their next destination, either by bus or by taxi and take a trip to nearby cities such as the Agrari, Ftelia and Mykonos.
