The National Christmas Center was an interactive museum located in Paradise, Pennsylvania. It featured room after room showcasing an array of Christmas-themed pieces from the past & present. Its vast collection included memorabilia from the world over. Some of the well-loved exhibits were the huge train display, several nativity scenes, Santa Claus figures and pictures, and many more. The center opened in 1998 when owner Jim Morrison decided to unveil his collection. It closed down in 2015 but will reopen just in time for the holidays in 2021 in a new location in Belmont Barn.
Visitors from all over, especially those from neighboring communities of Gap, Intercourse, and Strasburg will surely look forward to the reopening of the National Christmas Center as it has become a holiday tradition for many families. Out-of-towners usually book a stay at any of these fine lodgings: Osceola Mill House B&B, a quaint cottage originally a miller's house built in 1799, Rodeway Inn which is an unpretentious budget hotel off Highway 30, and the Harvest Drive Family Inn found not too far from the Dutch Wonderland, an amusement park with many rides, attractions and shows that's referred to as "Kingdom for Kids." The Heritage Center Museum of Lancaster County in the historic area of Lancaster, PA is a destination of choice for history buffs especially those interested in Pennsylvania Dutch of the past eras. Corn Cob Acres Field of Fun is another family-friendly amusement center worth visiting within the area. Its many activities, adventures, and games have made it a favorite kid's attraction.
