Medford, Oklahoma is a city located at the county of Grant. There are only about over 1,000 people living in this small town. It is located just off the US Highway 81 or Chisholm Trail Highway. There is more to love in this landlocked city. Based on history, the town was founded by Hobart Johnstone Whitley, a farmer, land developer and railroad executive. In 1893, a railway was built that linked Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska. It passed through the townsite and because of its proximity to the wheat-growing region, Medford became known as an agricultural trade centre.
