Lowell, Idaho, is an unincorporated community in Idaho County. It was named after its first postmaster, Henry Lowell. It is situated at the confluence of the Lochsa River and Selway River.

The best time to visit Lowell is during the months of June through September, for the perfect weather. The busiest months are usually May through July. Tourists are least likely to visit in November. One of the most well-known events nearby is the McCall Winter Carnival in McCall, which is held every January to February. Launched in the 1960s, it celebrates everything winter.
