Lignano Riviera: Northern Italy’s Premier Summer Resort
Lignano Riviera, Italy is one of the subdivisions (frazione) of the town of Lignano Sabbiadoro. It belongs to the Udine province, in the northeastern section of the country close to the Marano Lagoon. Lignano Riviera is considered as a primary summer resort in northern Italy, mainly because of the frazione’s proximity to the coast and its accessibility to the top attractions in the area. That said, guests can find plenty of hotels and lodging businesses in the town.
Best Time to Visit
Lignano Riviera is one of the best tourist destinations in the summer, thanks to its relatively warmer temperatures and dry weather. While the town accommodates the most number of tourists in June, there are already a couple of hundred visitors in the area by the end of May. This is because the Biker Fest International is held by this time of year. Most of Lignano Riviera, Italy hotels are packed, if not expensive, during this season, so make sure to book your hotels early.
