Kazan International Airport is a public-used airport located in Kazan, the capital and the largest city in Tatarstan Republic in Russia. It has an assigned IATA airport code of KZN that is owned and operated by JSC Kazan International Airport serving the entire city of Kazan and its surrounding cities of Aviastroitel'nyy Rayon, Novaya Tura, Malyye Derbyshki and Malye Klyki. The airport handled more than 2.6 million passengers in 2017 making it the biggest and busiest airport in the republic and the 15th most active in Russia. In 2014, Kazan International Airport has a 4 stars nomination by the Skytrax Airport and Airline Awards, and was named as CIS’s and Russia’s best airport.

The airport has seven systems of conveyor belts and with 30 check-in sites to handle almost 200,000 monthly passengers and it was further expanded in 2018 to accommodate the delegates of the FIBA World Cup. The airport’s flight service is being handled by 27 airline companies to nearly 100 destinations and is the main hub of the Russian Airline, UVT Aero.
