Kumasi: Historic Center of Ghana
Kumasi, Ghana is the capital of the Ashanti region. It is considered the most important and historic town in the country of Ghana. Tourists can access the town via the Kumasi Airport (KMS). The city is still traditional but it very well blends with the modernity brought about by tourism. There are many attractions in the city. One is the Manhyia Palace, which is the home of the royal family. It is found in the northern part of the town. The grounds of the palace are open to those who want to learn the customs and tradition of the said country.

Kumasi has tropical savanna type of climate. All year round the town is open to visit the historic city. January to March have a moderate temperature. In July, the climate becomes hot but bearable. Summer months are known to be busy with tourists and some attractions are crowded.

Kumasi is located in Southern Ghana. It is the centre of those who want to learn about the culture of the country. The most famous attraction is the Kejetia Market. It is an open-air market that sells everything from crafts, clothes to glass beads. Another tourist location is the Kumasi Sports Stadium where top events are held.
