Norman Manley International Airport – KIN Kingston
An international airport that handles flights to and from Kingston, Jamaica is the Norman Manley International Airport. It is located on the southern part of the island, 12 miles from the heart of New Kingston facing the city on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. It is ranked as second of the busiest airport in the country next to Sangster International Airport. Over 130 flights depart from the airport weekly and it is the primary hub for Caribbean Airlines. The airport is named in honor of Norman Manley, a Jamaican statesman.
Best Time to Visit
The Norman Manley International Airport has three phases or terminals. Phase 1A, 1B, and 2. Phase 1A has three levels departure concourse. There are various snack kiosks and cafes on the airport. A bar with views of the runway is also available in the airport. A range of gifts and local souvenir items are to be found in the departures area. Exotic Jamaican spices and duty-free outlet can be seen in the area too. First aid services are also available in the immigration hall. For passengers with babies, the toilets have baby changing facilities. If you booked a hotel without the airport shuttle services, public bus services and taxi services are available outside the airport. Montego Bay and Rio Buena are just a few minutes away from KIN Kingston.
