Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is a public airport with an airport code of HFE situated in Anhui Province in China. The airport was constructed in December of 2008 with a budget of nearly 4 billion yuan. It was opened to the public in May 2013, replacing Luogang Airport as the primary airport to serve Hefei as well as its nearby cities of Baohe Qu, Baoyongsi and Caocitang. Hefei Xinqiao International Airport was considered the 37th most active airport in China in 2018 with more than 11 million boarded passengers and has loaded roughly around 66,000 tons of cargo shipments.
