About The Coaching Inn Group Great Staughton
The Coaching Inn Group is a UK-based hospitality management group with operations in Oundle, Marsh, Boston, Horncastle, Market Harborough, Piercebridge, Welshpool, and Holmfirth. The company, founded by Kevin Charity, started as Bulldog Hotel Group in 1996 with headquarters in Boston, UK. It adopted its new name only in July 2015.
The chain has 15 locations, representing 431 bedrooms in total. Each of its hotels features the following facilities and amenities: guestrooms, bars, restaurants, coffee lounge, event venues for weddings, seminars, meetings, conferences, dances, wakes, and private dinners.
The Coaching Inn Group recently announced that it has seen its sales jumped by 24% to £24.7m ($31.3m) in the year ending 31 March 2019. The remarkable growth is attributed to the 8.3% rise in like-for-like sales, which saw a weekly revenue of £32,200 ($40,794) on average per site. Consequently, the company’s EBITA rose by a whopping 52% to £3.2m ($4.05m).
The group also announced future renovation investment plans amounting to £750,000 ($950,000), including plans to refurbish the Talbot Hotel in Oundle and the Feathers Hotel.
The latest addition to the group was the Swan in Stanford after a successful acquisition in June 2018 for an undisclosed amount. Backed by BGF, the Coaching Inn Group bought the freehold and business from Lewis Partnership via an off-market deal.
