Glowe: A Spa and Sandy Retreat
A state-recognized resort town in the Vorpommern-Rugen district is the Glowe, Germany. It is surrounded by the cerulean Baltic Sea and a lagoon on both sides. The town’s name originated from the Slavic word “Glova” which means head. It thrived as a fishing village before it became widely known for being a summer vacation spot.
Best Time to Visit
Glowe rarely experiences warm weather. It is mildly cold to freezing, depending on the season, even during summer. With that in mind, it is recommended to visit the town during the middle of the year when the weather is still favorable. As summer season means summer break for European schools, expect many vacationers flocking into town. Glowe DE hotels will also hike their prices up.
