Sir Seretse Khama International Airport – GBE Gaborone
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE) is the primary international airport in Gaborone, Botswana and is also the country’s capital. This airport was named in honor of the first president of Botswana, Sir Seretse Khama and was established in 1984. In spite of the airport’s limited capacity, it still has the biggest passenger movement in Botswana. There are several airlines operating in GBE-Gaborone including Air Botswana, Air Namibia, Ethiopian Airlines, South African Express, Qatar Airways, and Airlink. Air Namibia operates flights between Gaborone and Durban. Between 2015 and 2016, GBE Airport attended to 727,912 passengers going in and out of Gaborone.

GBE is operated by the civil government and serves as the base for the Botswana Defence Force Air Wing, a VIP Flight Wing. GBE-Gaborone Airport is also the main hub of Air Botswana with routes to Cape Town, Francistown, Johannesburg, Kasane, and Maun.
