Galdar: A Charming Town between The Mounts and Sea
Galdar is a Spanish town in the northern portion of Gran Canaria, one of the most populated Canary Islands. It is at the base of the mountains just a mile away from the shore. Within Gandar, Spain are several historic buildings and sites as well as fields where bananas, tomatoes, and corn are grown. Galdar, ES is also known for its cheese product made from the sheep’s milk.
Best Time to Visit
The temperature in the town can be very pleasant year-round, and precipitation can be experienced. Tourists can enjoy ideal weather from mid-October to early July. But, the 25th of July shouldn’t be missed – when Fiesta de Santiago Aposto is held. Take note that Galdar, ES gets overcrowded every October, January, and February. Also, accommodation fees in Galdar, Spain hotels would probably increase from December to February, and from June to August, hence, early booking is advised.

One of the places of interest in Galdar, ES is Cueva Pintada Museum and Archaeological Park. Also, you will love the Antonio Padron House Museum. Get a tan at the nearby Sardinia de Galdar Beach.
