Copiapo: A Mining Treasure in Chile

Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral or Copiapo Cathedral is one of the most famous attractions in the city. In fact, it is the biggest church in the city. It opened to the public in the mid-19th century. It is the seat of the Diocese of Copiapo. Another must-see attraction in the area is Nevado Ojos del Salado, the highest mountain in the country. It is an active stratovolcano, also called “Snowy Salty Eyes”, primarily because it is salty with various lakes and snowy during winter.
