The hotel chain, which opened its doors in 1995, is currently undertaking aggressive expansionary plans that could triple its portfolio by 2024. More hotel, resort and spa openings are expected to take place in Bhutan, Austria, Cambodia, Egypt, China, Fiji, India, France, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Italy, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, Tunisia, U.S., and U.A.E
Six Senses resorts are all set within walking distance or next to a UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site as it promotes building great luxury accommodations without disturbing the natural world. All its properties come with unique and varied personalities that utilize the natural topography of the site. Its design places great emphasis on local cultural elements. This approach will be incorporated to new property openings, including an urban concept which will debut in New York next year.
The hotel chain based in Bangkok, Thailand teamed up with the Canyon Group to bring its ultra-luxury hotel concept to Central America with the launch of Six Senses Papagayo. The new hotel slated to open 2021 in Costa Rica will offer a 360-degree panoramic view of the Guanacaste archipelago as its site stretches from the highest peak.
