Chaves Airport with the geocode CHV is a civil or public airport serving Chaves in northern Portugal. It is also known as Chaves Municipal Aerodrome and is in the parish of Vilar de Nantes, on the left bank of the Tâmega River in Vila Real district. Its location near a mountain range makes landings exceptionally challenging. The management of the small airport is entrusted to the Municipality of Chaves in the north of Portugal and about 10 kilometers south of the Spanish border. It is a certified facility for general aviation traffic.
