Chur: Old Swiss Town
Chur, Switzerland is considered the oldest town in Swiss. Its history dates back to about 5,000 years old. The town is car-free meaning one can do exploration by walking. Although there is modernity happening because of the growing tourism industry, the government of Switzerland has successfully preserved the old town. It is continuously undergoing development. June to August are the best months to enjoy outdoor activities. The climate is ideal for walking around Chur. Because of the good climate during these months, it could be considered as the busiest season. Most Chur, Switzerland hotels are fully booked. It could also get expensive during this season. From May to October, there is a weekly market happening in town.
