Also known as Sichuan Provincial Sports Center, Chengdu City Sports Center is a multi-purpose sport complex, mostly use for soccer matches, situated in Chengdu, China. This sports complex was opened in December 28, 1991 and can accommodate almost 40,000 people. Chengdu City Sports Center is the home of the Chinese League One football club known as the Chengdu Blades. It also serves as one of the venues for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2007. Aside from sporting events, the stadium also hold concerts of famous singers including Avril Lavigne 2008 Best Damn tour, K-pop Boy band Big Bang and Mariah Carey’s The Elusive Chanteuse Show.
