It actually home to a flight school, Hunter Valley Aviation and two helicopter charter companies named Hunter Valley Helicopters and Slattery Helicopter Charter. Hot air balloon flights are also available in the airport during the early morning hours. Several areas nearby make use of the services in the airport.
