Cajamarca: Peru’s Dairy Capital and Historical Gem
Cajamarca, also known as Kashamarka, is the 13th largest city in Peru and is tagged as the home of Peru's best cattle. Located in the northern highlands of Peru, it is also known for its production of dairy and mining activity. This city is where the last Incan emperor Atahualpa was defeated by the Spanish in the Battle of Cajamarca, making it not only one of the most commercially rich centers in the region but also the most historical.
