Burt Flickinger Athletic Center stands in downtown Buffalo, New York as a venue for countless local and regional sports events. The center was established for its initial use as the venue for the 1993 World University Games. After the games’ conclusion, the Erie Community College utilized the building full-time. It features a gymnasium with a seating capacity of 3,200, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a suspended running track, three basketball courts, a small gym, and a wellness center. Administrative offices, a few academic classrooms, lockers, and showers are also housed on-site. Moreover, it is home to the basketball team Buffalo Rapids.
